Former Cuban President Fidel Castro Publish Two New Book

Former Cuban President Fidel Castro presented two volumes of his memoir "Guerrilla Man of Time," which related his experience from childhood to the end of December 1958, previous to the triumph of the Cuban revolution, the official media reported Saturday.

To achieve that goal, the Army plans to remove at least eight Brigade Combat Teams from its existing structure, the Pentagon said in a document outlining the budget preview. Even with these reductions, the Army and Marine Corps will be larger than they were in 2001.

Lawrence Korb, a former assistant defense secretary who is now a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, a Washington-based think tank, said the United States is cutting ground forces because the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are ending.

But not only the number of ground forces is being cut, other parts of the defense sector are affected as well. The Navy will retire seven aging cruisers early, and several new ships will be delayed. The Air Force will also retire six tactical fighters out of its 60-strong squadron.
